A former coaching inn dating back to the 18th Century, The Grapes at Goosnargh stands proudly and pivotal in this a pretty village, resting comfortably between the village school and the church.

Understated colours and rich textiles complement the rustic elegance of  traditional flagged floors, rustic beams, roaring fire and cosy snug. There is a welcoming glow in the bar and in Winter there is a real open 'Inglenook' fire to cosy up to whilst enjoying the perfect pint!

Our menu features well loved classic dishes, along with exciting local and seasonal specials - poultry from Johnson & Swarbrick in Goosnargh,  Anderton's finest steak and a great selection of local cheeses.  Our Traditional Sunday Roast and homemade pies are legendary!

We stock a wide range of carefully kept cask ales, wines at sensible prices and  premium spirits.

Our Function Room provides the perfect space for a party or other family celebrations and in Summer, pub life decants onto a spectacular beer terrace -  ideal for children to play safely and parents to enjoy our hospitality  -  perfect for 'al fresco' drinking and dining.

The Grapes at Goosnargh has built up a superb reputation for top quality food, both locally sourced and cooked from fresh - anything from a sandwich to Goosnargh Duck. An ever changing 'Specials Board' means our customers are constantly inspired . 

Of equal reputation is our range of carefully kept traditional hand-pulled ales, a well selected wine list, not to mention our fabulous range of Premium Spirits and of course Fever Tree tonics. 

Not only is The Grapes a 'locals' local -  hikers and dogs are welcome in the bar area, it is also a perfect 'destination' venue.

(V) To follow; - Pan fried Chicken supreme, Fondant potato, savoy cabbage, dolcelatte cream sauce. - Butter poached haddock, new potatoes, olives, crispy rocket, herb oil. - Mushroom, spinich and ricotta tagliatelle, tarragon cream. To end; - Dark chocolate delice, Honeycomb, blackberry sorbet. - Passion fruit panna cotta, coconut, mango and lime. - to share!
